Is it just us or has this last year flown by? With everyone emerging bleary eyed from lockdown to hopes of a more sustainable future, people have been balancing their fitness with cautious yet excited visits to sports centres, new home-built gyms and exercising in the great outdoors.
Whereas it hasn’t compared to the uncertainty of 2020, this past year has still been incredibly tough for gyms and fitness chains. With a constant changing of rules as well as weary customers, we have seen an admirable effort from so many instructors, trainers and managers and just wanted to say a big well done!
We have been fortunate enough to have had yet another successful year here at Versaclimber HQ. We are extremely grateful for everyone’s ongoing support, particularly as more gyms are seeing the benefit of social group Versaclimber classes. This, in addition to many of you continuing to invest in fitness equipment at home, means that more and more people are able to enjoy the benefits of a Versaclimber.
So without further ado, here are just a few of our highlights this year:
It’s been a year of ups and downs, and to boost your spirits we wanted to share some of the incredible stories from the Versaclimber community on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
It may seem like a while ago, but do you remember kicking off this year in lockdown? Stuck indoors we decided to invite everyone to show us their incredible home gym set ups while waiting for the gyms to open.
Home hunting expert and celebrity Phil Spencer tackled yet another year of ‘Everest in the Alps’ on a Versaclimber at home, while American skateboarder Andrew Sheckler worked back to health on the Versaclimber after a bad injury.
Hollywood stars Jennifer Aniston, Kayley Cuoco and Kate Beckinsale were also shouting out about their fitness regimes and how they stay in shape on the Versaclimber.
After the lockdown was lifted, gym classes were back on the agenda and David Fairlamb showed us all what the future of gyms looks like with his new Versa Hub.
We wished Team GB a huge good luck as they journeyed to Tokyo 2020, especially our climbers – all of which have inspired a new generation of future Olympians as Sports Climbing came to the Games for the first time. Also inspiring was Gallaghers Boxing Gym as it showed off its boxing training routine using the Versaclimber.
And we can’t let the year go by without mentioning the inspiring George Young. A Yorkshireman who climbed the height of Mount Everest 70 times before his 70th birthday on 14th February 2021!
In 2022 we are still striving to provide the most effective full body workout, for everyone looking to tone up, increase their cardio, build muscle or just feel fitter, more energetic and even more uplifted.
Thank you for your support in 2021! Here’s to the future, keep climbing and bring it on 2022!
